Capital City Bank Named Among “Best Banks to Work For” In 2019

American Banker has ranked Capital City Bank #34 out of 85 “Best Banks to Work For”. The 2019 edition marks the seventh consecutive year the 124-year old financial institution has appeared on the list.
“At Capital City Bank, we pride ourselves on providing exceptional client service, and we believe that starts with how we empower and support our associates,” said Bill Smith, Capital City Bank Group chairman, president and CEO. “Our associates are our greatest assets, and we aspire to be a Company where they feel both happy and proud to work, as well as valued and rewarded. I am proud and honored for Capital City Bank to be once again counted among companies that are leading the way in creating work environments that put people first.”
The annual “Best Banks to Work For” list was initiated in 2013 by American Banker and Best Companies Group and identifies, recognizes and honors U.S. banks for outstanding workforce satisfaction. Determining the “Best Banks to Work For” is a two-step process. The first step involves an evaluation of the participating companies’ workplace policies, practices and demographics. In the second step, surveys are conducted to directly assess the experiences and attitudes of individual personnel. The combined scores determined the top banks and the final ranking.
“One of the critical factors in a bank’s success is how it treats its employees. This year’s list honors those institutions which have gone above and beyond to invest in employees’ personal and professional growth,” said Rob Blackwell, editor in chief of American Banker.
Best Companies Group managed the overall registration and survey process and also analyzed the data and used their expertise to determine the final ranking. The program is open to commercial banks, thrifts, savings banks and other chartered retail financial institutions with at least 50 employees in the United States.
