Associate Benefits

We believe our associates are the lifeblood of our company, and as such, we are constantly encouraging them to grow and advance with us. Capital City offers an excellent benefits package with comprehensive insurance, an Associate Stock Purchase Plan, PTO, a 401(k) plan, and even a Tuition Assistance Plan.

Flexible Spending Accounts

Our Flexible Spending Account (FSA) helps our associates pay for health care and/or dependent care expenses which may not be paid or covered by insurance. The money in your FSA is tax-free since it’s deducted from your paycheck before taxes are withheld. You get that money back every time you file a claim for an expense that’s not covered by your insurance, such as a pharmacy copayment or a pair of glasses.

Health Insurance

Capital City Bank lets you choose the plan that’s right for you and your family. We offer:
  • Capital Health Plan (limited availability)
  • Blue Cross/Blue Shield PPO (BlueChoice)
  • Blue Cross/Blue Shield HMO “Look-Alike” (BlueOptions)

Sign-On & Retention Bonus Program

Capital City Bank offers sign-on and retention bonuses for new associates joining our retail banking team.

Tellers, universal associates, traveling support associates and bank direct positions may be eligible for:
  • $300 sign on at time of hire
  • $200 retention bonus after 90 days
  • $200 retention bonus at 6 months
  • $300 bonus at one year of employment
Lead tellers may be eligible for:
  • $350 sign on at time of hire
  • $250 retention bonus after 90 days
  • $250 retention bonus at 6 months
  • $350 bonus at one year of employment

Dental Insurance
Our dental insurance covers services such as orthodontia, routine care, exams, X-rays, cleanings, fillings, extractions, bridge work, dentures and periodontal care. You may go to the dentist of your choice.

Life Insurance

Capital City Bank automatically provides Basic Term Life insurance and Accidental Death and Dismemberment coverage at no cost to you. A Living Care Benefit is also provided with Basic Life coverage. You may purchase Basic Life Insurance for your eligible dependents or additional coverage for yourself.

Commissioned and non-exempt associates are eligible for Short Term Disability (STD). If disability continues beyond the STD period, you could be eligible for Long Term Disability (LTD). Capital City Bank provides Long Term Disability coverage for all associates at no cost.

Critical Illness Coverage

Critical illness coverage pays a “lump sum” payment upon the diagnosis of a catastrophic disease or illness, in addition to any other coverage the associate may have.

Our 401(k) plan provides matching funds from Capital City Bank worth 50 percent of the deferral amount, up to a maximum deferral of six percent. All Deferrals are pre-tax and each associate has the power to choose their own investment options.

Associate Stock Purchase Plan (ASPP)

Our ASPP program is designed so that associates have the option to purchase CCBG stock at a 10 percent discount off regular market price.

Tuition Assistance Plan (TAP)

We support and encourage our associates to develop a life-long habit of continuous learning that focuses on personal and professional development through higher education. To assist in this effort, Capital City Bank offers associates assistance for:
  • Two-year degree
  • Four-year Undergraduate degree
  • Graduate degree
  • Vocational courses
All full-time and 30-hour associates in good standing who have successfully completed the initial 90-day new hire period are eligible to apply for educational assistance under the Tuition Assistance Plan. All part-time associates (scheduled for no less than 20 hours) are eligible to participate in the plan after one full year of employment. Associates in graduate studies must be full-time associates (scheduled 40 hours per week) and have two years of service at the time of reimbursement.

Federal and state anti-discrimination laws cover the administration of all employment practices. TAP has been carefully developed to avoid giving preferential treatment based on sex, race, age, religion, national origin, sexual orientation, disability or any other legally protected class.

Applicant Information

Due the coronavirus pandemic, applicants who are being interviewed in person by a Capital City Bank hiring manager will be required to comply with the Bank’s internal protocol as it relates to protective measures.

A qualified applicant is a person who has indicated an interest in being considered for hiring, promotion or other employment opportunities expressly by submitting an online profile/application/resume or an internal application within the deadline date.

Self-identifying a disability: Voluntarily self-identifying is a good thing – it's how things change. This video explains why companies doing business with the federal government ask job applicants and employees to voluntarily self-identify if they have a disability and the important role that self-identifying plays in ensuring equal employment opportunity for people with disabilities.
Online application system: Candidates will be redirected to submit a Candidate Profile (a valid e-mail address is required), a formal employment application to include completion of the "My Presence" section and attach a resume. If you do not have access to a personal computer or internet connection and need alternate arrangements, or you have any questions regarding the Candidate Profile, please call Capital City Bank Human Resources at 850.402.8385 or 478.703.0089.
Internal applicants: Current associates should apply by accessing the Internal Career Center via StarAccess. Associates will be directed to complete an internal application, the "My Presence" section of the application and attach a resume.
Prior applicants: An applicant, external or internal, who voluntarily formally or informally withdraws his or her application at any stage of the selection process is no longer an Applicant. Applications will remain on file and active for 90 days. After 90 days, a new application must be submitted.
Capital City Bank has an established policy and firm commitment to equal opportunity in employment. The Bank is committed to the spirit and letter of laws and regulations pertaining to employment, compensation, training and upward mobility of all minority groups.
It is the policy of Capital City Bank not to discriminate against any associate or applicant for employment on the basis of their race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, marital status, disability, Veteran Status, recently separated veterans, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression and all other categories covered by law. This policy shall apply to all employment actions, including but not limited to recruitment, hiring, upgrading, promotion, transfer, demotion, layoff, recall, termination, rates of pay or other forms of compensation and selection for training at all levels of employment.
